Tracking Interests and Favorites
AdvisorEngine CRM has a section of each Record that allows you to track interests and favorites of the Persons on the Record for the purpose of better connecting with clients and personalizing individual service. Interests and favorites can be referenced in a Record prior to communications or meeting, or they can be globally searched to view all Records containing Persons with a particular interest allowing quick segmentation for targeted marketing.
Interests
The Interests section allows you to list all the various interests a particular Person on a Record has. These function as selections from a global list, like Classifications or Tags, to prevent duplications and standardization in reporting. The available Interests to choose from are defined in List Maintenance. Once set, Interests can be quickly reported on through the Quick Search feature.
Favorites
By contrast, Favorites are particular to the Person you log them for and can be defined however you choose. These are not globally reportable, but offer greater flexibility in what can be stored for the individual. Favorites are stored in a Question and Answer format, such as Favorite Drink? followed by Coke. Logging and referencing this information helps you to personalize the client experience.
Adding Interests to a Person
- Open the Record for the Person to add an Interest to.
- Navigate to the Details > Interests & Favorites section of the Record.
- Click + ADD NEW.
- Set the select type drop-down to Interests.
- Set the select recipient drop-down to the one of the Persons on the Record.
- Click in the blank space under Interests to open the Interest drop-down.
- Click the Interest to add. Repeat for any additional Interests you need to add.
- Click ADD when finished to confirm your changes.
Adding Favorites to a Person
- Open the Record for the Person to add a Favorite to.
- Navigate to the Details > Interests & Favorites section of the Record.
- Click + ADD NEW.
- Set the select type drop-down to Favorite.
- Set the select recipient drop-down to the one of the Persons on the Record.
- Fill in the Question and Answer fields and click .
- Click ADD when finished to confirm your changes.
