AdvisorEngine Portfolio Manager Position Import
Positions and asset data from the Wealth Platform Clients can be imported into AE CRM automatically each day. This also enables Contextual Account Links within the CRM directly to the Wealth Platform.
Enabling the Position Import
Prerequisites:
Once the previous has been met, enable the Position Import from the Wealth Platform:
- Navigate to Communicate > Integrations.
- Click SETUP on the AdvisorEngine CRM tile to open the configuration page.
- Enable the toggle slider under Position(s) information to sync.
What Is Imported
The following fields are imported and updated from the Wealth Platform each night:
Asset Fields
- Account Number
- Asset Name
- Custodian
- Asset Value
- Effective Date
- Investment Objective
Position Fields
- Security Name
- Security Symbol
- Number of Units
- Market Value
- Effective Date
- Asset Program
- Investment Type
Only Assets with valid Positions are imported.
Asset Match Criteria
In the event that you have assets imported through other means and use the Wealth Platform import to update those assets, the following matching logic is used:
- If there is a match to an existing CRM asset with the same owner/person, the asset information is updated, existing position information is cleared, new position information is imported from the Wealth Platform.
- If an asset match is found in the CRM with no owners, a different owner, or multiple owners, the owner is overwritten with the owner from the Wealth Platform with 100% ownership. The rest proceeds as above.
