MyRepChat Integration

MyRepChat’s integration with AdvisorEngine CRM allows MyRepChat users to pull contact data from AE CRM directly into MyRepChat. It also allows you to have the entire text of your texting conversations through MyRepChat logged in Actions on the CRM Record.

Note: The directions below are provided as a courtesy to AE CRM customers. Please see the ionLake MyRepChat Help Center for the most current documentation on MyRepChat.

Activating the Integration

To enable the MyRepChat integration with AE CRM:

  1. Log in to your MyRepChat dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Connect to CRM.
  3. Select AdvisorEngine from the CRM Setup list.
  4. Select Enable and click Save Settings.
  5. Click Connect. You are prompted to enter your AE CRM login credentials.
  6. Enter your AE CRM login information and click Log In. You are returned to MyRepChat.
  7. Note: If you experience issues with the AE CRM authentication portion, log out of all active CRM windows first, then repeat the steps above in a new tab. If the issue persists, try these steps in a private browsing window or another browser.

MyRepChat is now connected to your CRM data. You can now import contacts from your CRM into MyRepChat.

Note: If you want conversations with clients to appear as Actions in AE CRM you must enable Activate Notes below.

CRM-Specific Features

With MyRepChat connected to AE CRM, you are able to have a complete log of all text conversations sent as an Action attached to the Record you communicate with.

This feature is enabled from the Connect to CRM settings section detailed above. The following options are available:

  • Activate Notes: All conversation between you and a Record during a given day will be sent as an Action to the Record overnight.
  • Real Time Notes: An Action is created on the Record as soon as the first message is exchanged in a given day. Further messages on the same day are added to the same Action as they occur. Activate Notes must be enabled for this feature to work.

By default, Actions will appear in AE CRM with an Action Type of Text Message and a Subject line of (MM/DD/YYY) MRC Text. The text messages for the day will be entered into the Notes field.

To use a different Workflow Template, navigate to Settings > Firm Profile > Firm Preferences within AE CRM. Edit the MyRepChat settings to select a new default Workflow Template to use for daily incoming messages.

Requirements

  • You must have an Action Type of Text Message in your List Maintenance. This is available for all firms by default but may need to be re-added if you or an admin removed this Action Type.
  • The contact you communicate with through MyRepChat must be a contact imported from AE CRM. You will see the CRM name and logo on the Contact in your MyRepChat contact list. See below for information on importing contacts.
