First Time Setup
Alert!
Before enabling this integration, you must:
Citrix ShareFile integration must be enabled per User in AE CRM. Repeat the following process for each User that wants to use the integration.
- Navigate to User > View Profile > User Preferences.
- Click Edit.
- Select the checkbox on the Citrix ShareFile line.
- Click Setup on the Citrix ShareFile line.
- Enter your ShareFile Subdomain.
Note:
Your subdomain is the first portion of your sharefile web address. For example, in the address http://advisorengine.sharefile.com, the subdomain would be advisorengine.
If you have multiple subdomains configured with Citrix ShareFile, only the first subdomain will be compatible with AE CRM. Contact your ShareFile administrator if you are unsure.
- Click Ok.
- Click Save in the upper right.
Linking CRM Records to Citrix Sharefile Folders
After performing the above setup on your User Profile, you are ready to link your Records to your Citrix ShareFile folders. Perform the following steps on each Record you want to link to a Citrix ShareFile folder.
- Open Record Details of a Record you want to link to ShareFile.
- Navigate to the Documents > Citrix Sharefile section of the Record.
Note: If this is the first folder you are linking after setup, you will be prompted finish your link. Click Ok, enter your subdomain in the next window, followed by your username and password.
- Click Link Folder.
- Navigate and select the Citrix ShareFile folder you want linked to the current Record.
- Click Ok to save the link.
Citrix Sharefile opens inside the Record section, anchored to the selected folder.
Each time the Record is opened in the future, this section will open ShareFile directly to the linked folder for easy access. Users can take advantage of all ShareFile functions without ever leaving your CRM.
Unlink Folder from Record
If a User mistakenly links a Record to the wrong Citrix ShareFile folder, click Unlink Folder to clear the mapping.
The button will switch back to Link Folder so it can be connected to another folder.
