PortfolioCenter (Hosted): Setting Up and Running Asset Export

If you have Hosted PortfolioCenter, these steps will help you set up the Portfolio Center Export Wizard to create a CSV that can be imported into AdvisorEngine CRM.

Note:
You will need to contact AdvisorEngine Support to have the import option enabled for your firm in AE CRM.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open PortfolioCenter Export Wizard.

  2. Log into the PortfolioCenter Instance.

  3. Select the PortfolioCenter Database.

  4. When selecting an export, select Position Export.

  5. Under Edit Settings, navigate down to Data > Columns, and click on the row to open up the selection of columns.

  6. Select all the columns found in the Selected section on the right below. The order does not matter, but every column must appear on the spreadsheet the way it is seen below (i.e. the CSV header must say "Portfolio Account Type", not "Portfolio Type").

    Note: The only field you need to change in Edit Settings each time after the initial run is the "As of Date".
  7. In the Export Settings, make sure Format is CSV Format and make note of where the Target is located.

  8. The file should now export correctly into a .CSV and can be used in AE CRM.
