Adding or Removing an Asset Import Interface

Interfaces tell AdvisorEngine CRM how to interpret financial data imported from your Portfolio Management System. To simplify the regular import process, only those Interfaces you have added for regular use will appear in the import drop-down.

Adding an Asset Import Interface

Prior to running an Asset Import, you must first add the Interface for your Portfolio Management System.

  1. Using the Site Navigation bar, navigate to Import > Asset Import.
  2. Click Add New Interface.
  3. Select your Portfolio Management System from the drop-down and click Add.

Manual Imports

The selected Interface is now available with a single Configuration named default.

Unattended Imports

You will be taken to the configuration screen to set up your import credentials and settings. See the documentation for your particular Portfolio Management System for details.

Removing an Asset Import Interface

If you are no longer using a particular Portfolio Management System for Asset Imports, you can remove the Interface from the drop-down by deleting all the Configurations for the Interface with the following steps:

  1. Using the Site Navigation bar, navigate to Import > Asset Import.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. In the drop-down, select the Interface you want to remove. Click Next.
  4. If necessary, select a Configuration from the drop-down. Click Next.
  5. In the upper right, click Delete This Config.

If your Interface has multiple Configurations, you will need to repeat this process until you have removed all Configurations for the Interface.

Once the last Configuration has been deleted, the Interface will no longer show in the Select Interface to Run drop-down.
