As the address fields in AdvisorEngine CRM are formatted to expect US addresses, entering international addresses can cause some difficulty. Below you will find suggestions of how to handle more common international address formats by using existing fields to produce an accurate address format. You may not find exactly the format you’re looking for below but the principles illustrated should give you enough to adapt to any unique address format you encounter.

MS HELEN SAUNDERS
1010 CLEAR STREET
OTTAWA, ON K1A 0B1
CANADA
Here would be a recommendation for entering the address in AE CRM:

This is how the address would display when entered as above:
Here is an example of a British address:
MISS S POLLARD
1 CHAPEL HILL
HESWALL
BOURNEMOUTH
BH1 1AA
Here would be a recommendation for entering the address in AE CRM:
Note in this case the address has nothing that functions like a state, so the entry can be left blank. For the sometimes-necessary Locality, we recommend using the Address Line 2 or Address Line 3 field as appropriate.
This is how the address would display when entered as above:
Here is an example of a Costa Rican address:
MARIA CARRANZA GUTIERREZ
APARTADO 1094-2059
SAN JOSE, MONTES DE OCA, SAN PEDRO
11051-2059
We use Costa Rica as an example of the situation where there are multiple identifiers and instead of going closest to furthest, they are listed furtherst to closest.. Where American addresses have City and State, Costa Rican have Province, Canton, and District. Since District is the most local identifier, it becomes impractical to fill this in to the State field.
Instead, here is a recommendation for entering the address into AE CRM:
Here we simply fill in the relevant information into the standard address lines with Province, Canton, and District all in address line 2 and leave City and State blank.
