At present, I can create an action and assign it to ADV 1, ADV2, CSR. However, it appears that doing so simply assigns the action permanently to a user, rather than assigning it permanently to the role that a user has assumed.
For example, if I create an action and assign it to CSR, it appears in the User who is assigned that role's action list. If I change the CSR for that record, the action does not migrate to the new CSR (this is also the same with FYIs, also super annoying if you change CSR, as you must then change all FYIs).
While, ADV 1&2 are fairly stable, we do see changes in who is CSR for clients (due to turnover and giving new employees exposure to different client types).
While I recognize there is a bulk reassign action tool, this does not solve reassigning actions based on records. I do not wish to bulk change all actions assigned to User X to User Y, as User X may still work for my company and I only wish to move actions of User X related to certain records to User Y.
Actually utilizing the roles when assigning actions (if they worked how I describe above) would eliminate (in my humble and baseless opinion) 90% or more of issues surrounding the reassignment of actions.
As an aside, in our office, actions are typically parsed out to multiple people, rather than bulked reassigned to one new individual if there is a change. Is the bulk reassign tool utilized often by others? We have never used it in our firm.
