Accounts continue to be linked after split

Records that are created by "linking to existing" rather than retyping all of the information manually are continuing to stay linked after being split which creates a compliance issue.

We have clients that were linked at the time of creation but have since divorced.  The ex-husband was the primary and kept the original record and the ex-wife was split into her own record.  They continued living together for some time before the ex-wife moved out of state.  We updated her address, but it updated both records to her new address.

This creates a compliance issue because when we issue quarterly reports, we'd be sending the ex-husband's account information/values/communication to his ex-wife.  There is nothing in Junxure that shows us if an account was linked at the time it was opened for us to know to delete all of the prior information and start new.  Also, like in this case, some couples don't move/update their addresses right when they split up so if a newer employee were to process the change, they wouldn't know to check the other account to see if the change affected another account if they didn't know it was a split account in the first place.

Common sense would be that when a record is split, it should no longer be connected to the initial account because that's the point of splitting it.
